Louisa Carpenter

Office & Communications Coordinator

Louisa joined University Alliance in 2011. Her responsibilities are to provide administrative, organisational, communications and marketing support to the director, Head of Policy and Head of Communications.

Louisa has a background in the media, having obtained her degree in Media Studies – Television Production from the University of Westminster in 2005 and, following that, worked for various post-production companies over a period of five years. During this time Louisa worked her way up from runner through to edit assistant and, ultimately, head of department where she was responsible for motivating and managing staff and meeting client’s needs. Louisa has worked on productions such as the Great British Menu for BBC2 as well as Come Dine With Me and Grand Designs for Channel 4.

Alongside her work for the Alliance Louisa is currently studying part time towards a masters in ‘The History of Britain’ at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her main focus within this is modern British social history with an emphasis on class divisions and mobility.
