Mark Leach

Senior Policy Adviser

Mark joined University Alliance in 2011 and takes responsibility for leading several policy areas with a principle focus on research policy.

Before joining University Alliance, Mark worked as a policy adviser at the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) where he managed the evaluation of the CETL initiative and worked on a number of policy areas including quality enhancement and public information.

Mark started his career as a policy adviser for the National Union of Students (NUS) where for three years he worked with the higher education sector across a range of issues.

Mark graduated from the University of Kent in 2006 and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Sheffield where he is working towards an EdD (Doctor of Education), specialising in higher education policy.
