Professor Andrew Wathey is Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Northumbria University and Deputy Chair of University Alliance.  He was Chair of the Music subject panel in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise and has been has been a Vice-President of the Royal Musical Association since 2001. He is also Director of the Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music, which he co-founded.
