THE: David Willetts: Tory areas are ‘culprits’ if too many people go to university

Last night, University Alliance, Bright Blue and GuildHE hosted a debate at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester to discuss some of the key issues facing the HE and research sector.

The panel for University: Is it worth it? included Lord David Willetts, the former Universities and Science Minister, Prof Joy Carter from the University of Winchester and Megan Dunn, president of the National Union of Students.

There was standing room only at the event, which took place in Manchester Central Library. Times Higher Education has posted their write up of the event here.
