UA response to the HEPI/HEA 2016 Student Academic Experience Survey

Commenting on the 2016 Student Academic Experience Survey published by HEPI and the HEA, University Alliance Chief Executive Maddalaine Ansell said:

“Today’s survey provides important and timely analysis of students’ priorities and experiences. While many of the findings are encouraging, the overall picture is complex. Discrepancies, for example between different disciplines, ethnic groups and between students living at home and independently, will need to be looked at in detail, taken seriously and addressed.

“As the implementation of the government’s white paper proceeds, these findings will help inform and shape the Teaching Excellence Framework, which must reflect teaching and learning in a clear, transparent and meaningful way.”
