University Business: Technical education simplified to just 15 employment routes

Coverage of the Post-16 Skills Plan, which sets out the Government’s innovative vision for the future of technical education, has appeared in University Business.

The Plan accepted recommendations made by a report into technical education by Lord Sainsbury’s independent panel – including simplifying the current system so that technical education would be provided through 15 routes, with standards set by industry professionals. UA chair and Vice-Chancellor of UWE Bristol, Professor Steve West was a member of Lord Sainsbury’s panel.
