With origins dating back to 1832, Bradford was the 40th university to be created in Britain and was the first university outside London to offer part-time degree courses.
Over 600 researchers and an annual research income of more than £9.9m Regular research collaborations with multinational organisations such as Smith and Nephew, Ford, the United Nations and British Aerospace. 70% of undergraduate provision professionally accredited and over 50% of the University curriculum STEM focussed.
Ranked within the top ten greenest universities in the ‘Green League’ table, and won numerous awards for the Ecoversity initiative including the THES Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Sustainable Development 2009′ Real focus on employability and entrepreneurship skills, and a strong track record on widening participation.
More than 5,000 students studying Bradford degrees around the world, collaborations with 12 overseas institutions. Pioneered the Escalate Employer Engagement Programme, which works to embed employer engagement throughout the institution.
