Oxford Brookes was shortlisted as university of the year in the Sunday Times’ University Guide 2011 while being named the best modern university for the tenth year in a row.

More than three quarters of its research was internationally recognised in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise – with a broad range of subjects in the arts, sciences, health, law and education judged to be world-leading.

Over the past two years, Oxford Brookes has been awarded five prestigious national teaching fellowships for innovative and excellent teaching which often involves learning experiences outside the classroom. It is the main provider of continuing professional development for the county’s teaching, healthcare and architectural professions.

The university ranks highly for graduate employment and 9 out of 10 Brookes graduates go onto jobs or further study within six months of getting their degrees.

Recently, the university embarked on a £150 million redevelopment project to redevelop its campuses throughout Oxford.
