Glasgow Caledonian joins University Alliance

Glasgow Caledonian University has joined University Alliance, representing 23 major business-focussed universities at the heart of the sector. Professor Janet Beer, Chair of University Alliance, said:

“This is an important time for higher education and we are proud to be representing universities with world-leading research, strong links with new industries and a confident business-like approach. As a major voice in the sector, University Alliance is in an excellent position to influence decisions that will shape the future of higher education in the UK.”

Glasgow Caledonian University is the 23rdmember to join the University Alliance and its first Scottish university. 27% of students in the UK study at an Alliance university and achieve some of the highest rates of graduate-level employment.

Professor Pamela Gillies, Vice-Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University said:

“I am delighted that we are joining University Alliance at a time when our collective impact is so crucial.
