Delivering Effective, Engaging Degree Apprenticeships

UA Chief Executive Maddalaine Ansell will be speaking at the Inside Government event “Delivering effective, engaging Degree Apprenticeships” in London.

In her session, Looking to the Future – Effectively Implementing Degree Apprenticeships Across Higher Education Institutions, she will be exploring the role of degree apprenticeships in bridging the academic-vocational divide and the importance of ensuring geographical spread to allow maximum access to young people.

Two Alliance universities will also share their experiences during the event. Dr Satya Shah, Principal Lecturer Programme Director – Faculty of Engineering and Science,University of Greenwich, will talk about how the university became the first London based institution to have a fully validated and endorsed Degree Apprenticeships programme for 2015-16 entry.

Dr Robin Johnson, Principal Lecturer in Marketing, Operations and Digital Business, Manchester Metropolitan University, will examine the importance of working with employers, schools and local partners to disseminate information about degree apprenticeships and inspire a new generation of young people to undertake alternative routes to employment.
