Louisa Carpenter joined University Alliance at the start of 2011. She provides oversight and organisation of all business operations, supporting the staff team by creating and maintaining effective HR, finance and IT procedures as well as a harmonious working environment and ensuring good communication with the Company Directors and Subscriber Member Representatives. Louisa also works closely with the Communications Team to coordinate, strategise and maintain marketing outputs.
Alongside her work for the Alliance Louisa recently obtained an MA with merit in The History of Design and Material Culture from The University of Brighton. Her main focus within this was British social history in the Eighteenth Century with an emphasis on class divisions, taste and identity. Louisa is also a member of CIM and holds a Professional Certificate in Marketing.
Prior to joining University Alliance Louisa’s background was in the media, having obtained her undergraduate degree in Media Studies – Television Production from the University of Westminster in 2005 and, following that, working for various post-production and broadcasting companies over a five year period. Louisa has worked on productions such as the Great British Menu for BBC2 and Come Dine With Me for Channel 4.
