Fees of less than £7,000 would have a “direct impact” on the quality of courses since the cost of running many degree programmes is already between £7,000 and £10,000, according to Libby Aston, director of University Alliance.

UA welcomes the government investment to strengthen the UK’s defence skills pipeline, with four of our member universities awarded funding through the Strategic Priorities Grant.
University Alliance has raised concerns about proposals to restrict entry requirements to university, which have been recommended in Policy Exchange’s Tarnished Towers report.
