Professor Steve West, Chair of University Alliance, is featured in coverage in the Guardian about the Higher Education Policy Institute’s new guide on the removal of student number controls.
Professor Steve West, chair of the University Alliance group, which includes Coventry University and Cardiff Metropolitan University, said that government funding should be linked to student retention rates, and that a single regulatory body was needed for all higher education providers in England.
UA welcomes the government investment to strengthen the UK’s defence skills pipeline, with four of our member universities awarded funding through the Strategic Priorities Grant.
University Alliance has raised concerns about proposals to restrict entry requirements to university, which have been recommended in Policy Exchange’s Tarnished Towers report.
