Anglia Ruskin University joins the University Alliance

University Alliance (UA) has today (2 July 2020) announced that Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) has officially joined the mission group.

UA represents 12 of the country’s best large to mid-sized universities who are leaders in technical and professional education. Alliance universities are known for their close links with industry, professions and employers, and for their delivery of public sector workforce skills and training.

ARU’s membership will be effective from 1st August having been formally ratified at the UA director members’ meeting on 2 June 2020.

Chair of University Alliance and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Brighton, Professor Debra Humphris said:

“We are delighted to welcome Anglia Ruskin University to the Alliance. With their drive to support students, local industry and communities they typify the strengths and values of an Alliance University.

“As the sector continues to face unprecedented challenges, UA will be ensuring professional and technical universities have a strong and united voice to navigate safely through these uncertain times and emerge stronger than ever.”
