Open doors: Universities open for business?

Universities working with business makes sense. Not just for the economy but for the future of talent, research and innovation in the UK. That is why University Alliance held our Open doors event to give an opportunity for people from across the university sector, business and anyone with an interest in this area to discuss this collaboration in greater depth and explore ways of improving its effectiveness. The event was the first opportunity to discuss the finding from the Wilson Review of Business – University Collaboration. Take a look at our video from the event which captures some of the key findings from the review, examples of effective university-business collaborations and ways in which this can be improved. (Video features: Professor Janet Beer, Chair of University Alliance and Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, Professor Sir Tim Wilson, Chair of the Wilson Review, Matt Smith, Policy Director at NACUE and Trudy Norris-Grey, IT & Communications Industry Executive)
