Christmas card competition 2014 – extended deadline

The winning entry for 2013 was designed by Jennifer Leem-Bruggen, a student on the BA (Hons) Illustration course at University of Hertfordshire. “From the word ‘Global’ the imagery that comes to mind is of the Earth/world. My research led me to a snow globe, a simple yet effective way of conveying the elements of ‘Global’ and Christmas together. Snow globes convey individual narratives; I portrayed Santa flying around the world at Christmas.”

Feeling festive and creative?

The University Alliance Christmas Card competition has just launched – if you are a member of staff or a student at one of our Alliance Universities, why not enter the competition by designing the cover of our Christmas card which we send out to our key stakeholders.

If you would like to take part in the competition or advertise it to those who might, please either link to this page or send the below details out.

Please note that this competition is only open to staff and students from Alliance universities.

How to enter

Design the front cover for University Alliance’s 2013 Christmas card. The winner, as well as designing our new card, will receive £60 High Street gift vouchers (Love2shop) and will be credited on the back of the card which will be seen by hundreds of key figures, including MPs, leading business executives and university Vice-Chancellors.

Our theme for this year is ‘Collaboration’, inspired by the extensive number of partnerships that both University Alliance and our universities have engaged with over the past year. Participants will need to provide a 50 word summary of how their design fits this theme.
