Maddalaine Ansell, Chief Executive of University Alliance, responded to the Sutton Trust report, Levels of Success: The Potential of UK Apprenticeships:
She said:
“Alliance universities, with their long experience of providing work-based learning, are leading the way in delivering high-end Higher Level Apprenticeships. The report features some of these – including UWE Bristol’s collaboration with Airbus and Salford University’s partnership with the BBC.
“We are delighted that the best Higher Apprenticeships are delivering such great returns for our students, transforming their life chances and ensuring our cities and regions have the skilled workforce they need to thrive.”
“Of course, there are many fulfilling careers for which the best entry route is still a university degree so potential students should think carefully about what type of study will best help them achieve their goals.”
