University Alliance responds to the Lifelong Learning Bill

Commenting on the publication of the Lifelong Learning (Higher Education Fee Limits) Bill, Vanessa Wilson, University Alliance CEO, said:

“Alliance universities are already ahead of the curve in developing innovative training and education offers that enable people to upskill and reskill throughout their lifetime. The introduction of a Lifelong Loan Entitlement will open more opportunities up to more people, and we welcome it wholeheartedly. We are pleased to see that the necessary steps are now being taken to implement the LLE, through the Lifelong Learning (Higher Education Fee Limits Bill), and will continue to work closely with government to ensure that this initiative achieves its transformational goals.

Our LLE Blueprint, published in 2022, sets out our vision for how the LLE could work in practice to deliver the greatest possible impact. Lifelong learning should be supported by local and regional structures which ensure that local communities and employers have the skills and opportunities they need to drive growth and prosperity.”
